Calcium Supplements Linked to Heart Problems

While we commonly think and believe in the huge help of Calcium supplements to make our bones stronger and make our bodies healthier, a new study has shown that too much Calcium may lead to certain risks of Heart Attack.

One particular patient is worried of this. Her name is Lisa Kwock, her bones are thinning and her cholesterol values are high. She needs Calcium supplements, and it’s given to her, but the problem is with this new research, she’s worried about having a high risk for heart attack.

A new researched that was released lately involved analysis of 11 studies concerning 11, 921 patients. The analysis shows that 31 % of those who were receiving Calcium supplements had myocardial infarctions or heart attacks.

A series of studies had been planned to follow these things up regarding Calcium supplements, experts say it’s much better to get this mineral from foods rather getting it from supplements and pills as the former showed no effect on the matter.
