Carly Rae Jepsen says she’s the victim of a hacker that got access to her personal computer, copied nude photos of herself that she had saved, and is reportedly trying to sell them to media outlets.
These new photos are not the same as those reported previously, where a Jepsen look-alike was featured in the photos.
Vancouver, BC, Canada police say Jepsen contacted them immediately after receiving an anonymous tip in March about the stolen photos. Vancouver police say the tip is legitimate and are currently investigating.
[Update] – Police have located and are interviewing a suspected man, and say they are likely going to be laying charges.
Sources close to the matter day police may have identified a suspect who could face charges that include unauthorized access of a computer criminal harassment – all serious charges that could lead to significant time in prison, if convicted.
Sources say the photos actually exist and that they have not yet been published – Jepsen is reportedly working to ensure that the photos do not get published.
