Giant Offers Discount on Seasonal Vaccines

Giant Food of Landover will be offering discounts on seasonal influenza immunizations starting with September 7 for as long as they have available shots in their pharmacy departments. This campaign is part of Giant Food’s Health and Wellness program that has been going on for over two decades.

Dain Rusk, pharmacy operations director of Giant Food, stated that the company shows commitment towards its customers by offering them the possibility to get seasonal flu shots for only $25. In order to get the seasonal immunization shot, customers need to be Giant Food card holders and use their card for the purchase.

The seasonal flu shot available at Giant Food locations protect against flu during the cold season, as well as against the H1N1 strain of flu. For non-holders of the Giant card there is an offer of $30 per shot. The vaccination is done in almost all Giant locations by professionally trained and certified pharmacists.

Giant Food has locations in Maryland, Delaware, Washington and Virginia, and therefore many US citizens have access to get the seasonal flu immunization. The influenza strain is widely known as seasonal flu and it’s a respiratory disease seen often from December and throughout March.
