Criminal background check uses automated processes

The company said companies use criminal background checks are used during pre-employment screening. The U.S. Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics reported in 2009 that more than 570,000 workers were victims of violent crimes like rape, assault and robbery while on the job. Statistics indicate about 500 to 600 work site homicides also occur each year. The spokesperson explained criminal background checks help organizations avoid hiring candidates with violent criminal histories.
