Emma Sansom High School Alumni block party reunion

Gadsden, AL, March, 28, 2012 — On Saturday May 26, 2012 from 5:30pm-9:30pm, Emma Sansom High Alumni Association, will once again transform Gadsden’s Wall Street into one giant block party reunion.

According to Clint Ellison, Board member of Emma Sansom High Alumni Association, “We are expecting a huge crowd with people from across the country to fill Wall Street and Sansom Avenue early Saturday afternoon.”

Activities will begin at 2:00pm when the ESH Alumni Village opens and will to continue well into the evening with live music playing throughout the afternoon and evening. Each Class of Emma Sansom High can setup a tent on Sansom Avenue and have a mini reunion. Just bring your tent, table & chairs, decorate, mix & mingle then dance on Wall Street. A $25.00 donation per tent to the Emma Sansom High Alumni Association gets you in the Village, please contact Tammy Johnson 205-542-7400. An Alumni Homecoming parade is scheduled for 3:00pm.

One of the outstanding educators at Emma Sansom High School was Billy E. (Rip) Reagan, who directed the band to much acclaim and recognition, including awards that helped to make Gadsden the “City of Champions.” The City of Gadsden in conjunction with the Emma Sansom High School Museum, Inc., will dedicate Reagan Park on Wall Street to celebrate and honor Rip Reagan’s contributions to this community. The dedication ceremony will begin at 4:00pm.

The Emma Sansom High School Alumni Block Party Reunion will officially kickoff at 5:30pm. There is a wide range of live entertainment scheduled which includes Smokin’, TRUK, and, Benny Leverton, with more to come. Join in and celebrate the Rebel spirit with local vendors, delicious food, dancing, fun and fellowship!

Alumni members are encouraging a Friday Night “Meet and Greet” on May 25, 2012. So, gather your friends and family and make it an evening out in Gadsden at a restaurant of your choice between 5:00pm – 9:00pm.

Finish the reunion weekend off by joining your classmates for Sunday service at a church of your choice.
