Just launched, the (En)Rich List celebrates a wealth of inspirational individuals whose contributions enrich paths to sustainable futures. An initiative of the Post Growth Institute, the project parodies the Forbes Rich List launched early this month, exhibiting an almost identical website design.
“There are additional ways ‘richness’ can play out, be measured and be celebrated beyond how much material or monetary wealth an individual possesses” said Australian Dr Donnie Maclurcan, Co-Director of the Post Growth Institute.
“The people on this list represent wealth that cannot be defined by a dollar value” Dr Maclurcan said.
People who made the Post Growth Institute’s Top 100 include prominent Indian activist Dr Vandana Shiva and ‘collaborative consumption’ champion Rachel Botsman. Lesser known individuals to make the List include ‘sharing law’ pioneer, Janelle Orsi, and ‘The Moneyless Man’, Mark Boyle.
“In times of such uncertainty, there is great value in turning to those whose work is laying platforms for prosperous futures beyond economic growth” said Dr Maclurcan.
