About the Artist

Susan Harbourt, the talent behind Luster Metal Works, was an engineer with a repressed artistic spark lurking inside. One fateful day, she and her husband were updating wiring in their Edwardian era home when the scattered coils of old copper wire inspired her. With the scraps at hand, Susan wove a bracelet, igniting an artistic flame that has only continued to grow.

Now a self taught metalsmith, Susan primarily works in recycled sterling silver and reclaimed copper creating an array of Eco-friendly rings, necklaces, bracelets, bookmarks, and gifts. Her studio is her paradise. It’s her place to create and let the hammer guide her, magically transforming metal from something you would dismiss as a scrap to amazing works of art.
