MassPing website launches

MassPing is pleased to announce the launch of its website – a service that pings, or notifies, other websites of updates to content on a blog or other type of website.

“Experts agree that great content is the best way to improve your website’s ranking in search engine results pages, but great content won’t do anything for you unless search engines and other services actually find your website’s content. MassPing sends updates to services like Google, Yahoo, and NewsGator to encourage them to crawl, or visit, the new content on your website – which can help to reduce the time it takes to show up on search engine results pages and can work to improve ranking,” said a spokesperson.

According to the company, MassPing is easy to use – visitors can enter the website address they want to ping to other services, or upload a text file containing a larger list of website addresses; MassPing pings the underlying services immediately and provides a status report that’s updated in real-time. The company says the service is free to use.

“MassPing is a great way to inform search engines and other important content-related services about new content on your website, without having to send email or post blog comments. MassPing is quick and effective,” added the spokesperson.
