The Facebook fan page of Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and the CEO of Facebook was apparently hacked by someone yesterday, as a message was posted on his fan page which stated that the CEO Mark Zuckerberg should instead make Facebook a ‘social business’ and was followed by the link to the Wikipedia’s page explaining the term “social business”.

As per Wikipedia, a ‘social business’ is a business which is run for social purposes and where the investors are restricted from taking profits away from the business in the form of dividends.

This strange message was posted on the fan page of the CEO of the Facebook, which is followed by more than 2.8 million users of Facebook who saw this message on their newsfeed.

The message read, “Let the hacking begin: If facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel Price [sic] winner Muhammad Yunus described it? #hackercup2011.”

The hashtag of ‘hackercup’ at the end perhaps refers to the Hacker Cup of Facebook, which is a competition of programmers, but the reference by the hacker to this competition sounded somewhat irrelevant to observers.
