T.I. told Charles Pannell, a U.S. District Judge that he “screwed up” and that he was sorry for what had happened. The judge however sent T.I. to prison where he will have to spend 11 months and a whole year of supervised released thereafter.

30 year-old T.I. has been nominated twelve times and has won three Grammies. He has had a successful career in the few years he’s been in the music industry. However, this is not the first time T.I. is facing charges.

Back in 2007, he was charged with illegal gun possession after he was arrested the same day he was to perform in BET awards. He got away with just one year in prison and a thousand hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to the charges.

T.I. was arrested on Friday after he was found with drugs in his car after a traffic stop. He pleaded guilty to the charges and will now have to serve an 11 months imprisonment.
