Kate Winslet, Ned Rocknroll secret Christmas wedding

Kate Winslet and NedRocknroll, also known as Abel Smith, were married on Christmas day somewhere in the Catskill Mountains in West Sussex, England.

Someone who attended the wedding and wished to remain anonymous said the wedding was a “really romantic, private ceremony.” The same source said there were only a few friends and relatives in attendance.

The couple is said to have been “radiantly happy” and joined in singing carols.

It is speculated the couple met on Branson’s island in 2011, where Winslet helped rescue Branson’s 90-year-old grandmother from a fire at his estate.

Kate Winslet, 37, is a British actress and singer who is the youngest person to receive six Academy Award nominations.

Ned Rocknroll, who changed his name from Abel Smith in 2008, is Richard Branson’s nephew – Branson reportedly gave the couple a trip into space for their wedding present. Smith works for his uncle at Virgin Galactic – the space-travel division Branson’s company, Virgin, where Smith works as Head of Marketing, Promotion, and Astronaut Experience. Smith was previously married to Eliza Pearson, a British socialite.
