Mariah Carey Pregnant – Announcement Made on NBC’s Today Show

Mariah Carey announced big news on Thursday when she made public the fact that she is expecting her first child.

The singer is one of the top selling artists worldwide and she has not succumbed to press rumors which have been going on for several months that allegedly said she was pregnant.

Mariah Carey, a singer who had the honor of not only being nominated but also winning Grammy Awards, together with her husband Nick Cannon, rapper and host of the TV show ‘America’s Got Talent’, announced in an interview broadcasted during the Today Show on NBC that they are going to have a baby.

“Yes, we’re pregnant, this is true,” said Mariah Carey talking to Billy Bush from Access Hollywood.

The singer was not only glowing, but she was also extremely happy to share the news with the world. Mariah did not want to give too much information with regard to her pregnancy and simply stated that “It’s still early, we’re expecting in the spring”.

Singer Mariah Carey added that ‘it’s been a long journey, but it’s been tough because I have been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy and that was not easy.” The media has been following the couple ever since they got secretly married, saying that a pregnancy was behind the sudden marriage.

The couple said that after they heard the rumors, they gave a try to a pregnancy test which turned out to be positive. Sadly, a month later, Mariah suffered a miscarriage and decided to not make it public up until now.

Mariah Carey’s next album “Merry Christmas II You’ will be released next week.
