Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart was topped for two weeks straight by Rihanna’s song entitled ‘What’s My Name?’. However, her single ‘Loud’ from the new album ‘Only Girl (In the World) made it to the top on Thursday, as the young singer’s song debuted on Billboard recently.

‘Loud’ is Rihanna’s second single that makes No. 1 on the Billboard charts after its debut on Wednesday on the 200 album chart.
As reported by the media, this is the first time in Billboard’s history of over 50 years that an artist’s album reaches number one after promoting its second single. ‘What’s My Name’ sent ‘Loud’ on a lower ranking, while still remaining in the top ten as No. 8.
‘Only Girl’ is, on the other hand, the female singer’s fourth single that’d take number one rank this year, making her the first female artist with such hit album since Usher’s album released in 2004.
Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart placed Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’ at number two, while Far East Movement’s single ‘Like a G6’ dropped to number three. Ke$ha’s ‘We R Who We R’ went up to ranks, to number four, while ‘Just a Dream’ single stayed at No. 5.
