Silicon Valley, San Francisco – A new deal combining the media properties of two major outlets was announced today, giving new life to a magazine popular among young consumers. Sahara Holdings, the parent company of Honey Magazine ‘www.honeymag.net’ has acquired the rights to HoneyMag.co.uk and its technology arm, in a move to tap into the growing European market.
Sahara Holdings joined forces with European Partners in the acquisition (for an undisclosed amount), which will effectively combine the two publications. Honeymag.net & Honeymag.co.uk will now be joined to help create a broader audience for the company, Sahara Media, will continue to pitch potential partnerships with advertisers.
HONEY’s Ms. Elsweet Rufino will move into the same role for the European Web Portal with Jason Guzman maintaining his chairman role at Sahara Holdings.
“This technology piece is extremely important to this business,” offers Ms. Rufino. “With Honey Mag UK, we get a terrific brand and and culture for a cool audience.”
