Jamaica will host The Americas Gala Ceremony and the World Travel Awards in October. The World Travel Awards will bring together to this beautiful Caribbean islands leading travel operators, companies and travel destinations from all over America for a claim to the coveted trophy. The event will take place on the south coast of Jamaica, at the Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa.
Founder of the resort, Gordon Stewart, made the following statement : ‘We are thrilled to be hosting the World Travel Awards Americas Gala Ceremony at Sandals Whitehouse’ in a pristine Jamaican setting.
The World Travel Awards were described by the Wall Street Journal as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’ as the event that has reached its 17th year is the biggest and most important one of its kind.
Jamaica’s tourism director, John Lynch, stated that : ‘Jamaica is honored to be chosen as the host destination for the prestigious Americas gala of the 2010 World Travel Awards’.
